The school follows the Cambridge International Primary Curriculum, the Cambridge Lower Secondary Curriculum and prepares students for University via IGCSEs and A-levels - all with the Cambridge International Examinations.

Based in a quiet suburb in the outskirts of Manaus, 8 km from the International Airport, surrounded by the Brazilian Rainforest, Amazonas English Academy offers an internationally recognized education within a small value-led school. International Examinations are taken with Cambridge International Examinations Department of Cambridge University, (England) and prepare students for University in many countries worldwide.

Although most teaching is in the English Language, and Portuguese is offered at three levels (beginner, Intermediate and Native) Brazilian History and Brazilian Geography are offered as modules at strategic points so that the curriculum is for Y1-5 is fully recognized by the Amazonas State Education Council (Brazilian Education), and the upper years are in the final stages of the recognition process.
